The crowd that flocks Palma de Mallorca or Ibiza largely ignore Menorca. This island remain a secret haven for those who prefer deserted beaches and coves along with a fruitful cultural atmosphere.

The idyllic beaches are disseminated on all the southern coast. Wild cliffs, hidden bays and coves adorned the dramatic landscape of the northern part of the island.

Compared to Mallorca, Menorca is a smaller island of only 700 square kilometers and 200 km of coastline.

Since 1993 Menorca is protected as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the rural interior is a preserved treasure, the north rugged costline offer spectacular secret coves to explore with your boat. The south is less mountainous and covered with pine trees.

Numerous wildlife species find a natural habitat on the high cliffs, especially marine birds and birds of prey. The Parc Natural of Albufera des Grau is a wetland reserve and offer superb hiking, bird watching.

The cities: Ciutadella and Mao, as well as the others villages are also well preserved with their charming places and cobbled streets, small fishing ports and inviting cafes' terraces to enjoy a relax stay with refreshing drinks.

Menorca has a tradition for welcoming numerous arts and crafts, like the hand-made shoes and the custom jewellery. A big Jewellery trade fair is held every year in Mao in may.
